I highly recommend The Farm Mechanic for several reasons. John and Leigh Spiteri are hard-working entrepreneurs who listen to your needs and then provide their creative and functional expertise to build you a unique piece of furniture. John is a true artisan. He uses the highest quality materials and techniques. Leigh outsources to reliable and authentic resources for the finest textiles. Together they are a creative team! I needed a fire pit lid. Residing at the beach, John hand burnt in a nautical compass. On the edge he added four rope handles used to remove the lid. And, to add function, John carved and installed with his own unique hinge, arc legs that spring open when you remove the cover to form a table! Not only do we have a beautiful fire pit cover but an added table for all those s’more and beverage items! It was a pleasure to work with The Farm Mechanic. And we look forward to future creations!
